Dr. Sayemul Huda is a visionary Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer at the Nabinagar Upazila Health Complex in Brahmanbaria. When Dr. Huda joined the Upazila Health Complex, it was not equipped to serve nearly a million people in the area with quality health services. Dr. Huda took initiative to move the maternal and neonatal ward into a new building, and took appropriate steps for physical maintenance and cleanliness of the facility. He also mobilized local resources based on the needs that he identified during his rigorous field visits. He is an inspiration for his staff and is one of the many health- worker heroes of MaMoni MNCSP in Bangladesh.

USAID MaMoni’s project started working in Nabinagar in 2018 and played a significant role in supporting Dr. Huda to take these initiatives to improve the quality of health services in his facility.
