USAID’s MaMoni MNCSP Launched at Madaripur

A district level launching event took place on October 25, 2018 at Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Madaripur district, for USAID’s MaMoni Maternal and Newborn Care Strengthening Project (MaMoni MNCSP).

The Chief Guest for the event was Dr. Nitish Kanti Debnath, Director (Health), Dhaka Division, DGHS; and the event was chaired by Md. Wahidul Islam, Deputy Commissioner, Madaripur.

The welcome address was presented by: Dr. Md. Farid Hossain, Civil Surgeon, Madaripur. Other special guests included: Dr. Farid Uddin Ahmed, Deputy Director (Services) and Program Manager – Newborn and Child Health, MCH Services Unit, DGFP; Taposh Kumar Shill, Deputy Director-Family Planning; Md. Russel Sabrin, Deputy Director – Local Government, Madaripur; and Dr. Shumona Shafinaz, Senior Technical Advisor-Program Implementation, MaMoni MNCSP.

The five-year project was formally launched in Chandpur district recently, and today’s launching in Madaripur marked the second of the ten districts that the project will be working in.
